Sharing a scrapbook of memories
This was the best interactive workshop.
My opinions and experiences mattered as all our circumstances and experiences are unique,
and yet we all gained so much insight as we could feed off one another.
– Allyson

We learn so much from one another at these workshops!
A series of four workshops
The ‘Transforming the Dementia Journey’ course consists of four interactive workshops offered for a maximum of five participants.
We meet fortnightly on Saturday afternoons from 2.30-5.00 pm in Wynberg, Cape Town.
I’m so, so glad that I didn’t hesitate to join this course.
I’d read up on Dementia and done an on-line course previously, but I find Alice’s
‘Transforming the Dementia Journey’
hugely valuable, a combination of her clear, informative input and our personal interaction in the group.
– Norman

The online course includes presentations and coaching conversations
‘Transforming the Dementia Journey’ online
You can also participate in the ‘Transforming the Dementia Journey’ course online from the comfort of your own home.
The online course covers the same themes as the workshop series, making the information available to people who cannot attend the workshops .
For the time being, due to scheduling complications caused by frequent power cuts in South Africa, this course is offered on an individual basis only. Sessions are scheduled at times that suit the individual.
Contact Alice to enquire about registering for this online course.
Alice, you really don’t know what these 6 weeks meant to us and did for us.
When we started, I understood nothing about dementia. Both of us were very afraid.
But now I am actually looking forward to this journey with my husband. You prepared us for this.
A very big thank you from both of us.
– Esmarie
Over the six sessions I was struck by how much benefit is offered for carers.
Lots of links, suggestions, skills, coping mechanisms – something carers need to keep buoyant.
– Di
I found it so helpful to get some basic lessons on what is happening to the brain in dementia …
You facilitated the group well, listening compassionately to each of us, creating a safe space for
intimate sharing in virtual reality.
– Gayle
